Restaurant Varanda de Lisboa
On the top floor of the Mundial hotel, with a stunning view over the city, the “Varanda de Lisboa” panoramic restaurant serves Portuguese and International cuisine in a distinguished environment with a pianist playing (every day except Sundays and during the month of August)
Lunch is served from 12H30 until 15H00 with a suggestive meny of typical portuguese cuisine, where grilled fresh meat and fish are the highlights.
Dinner is served from 19H30 until 22H30 accompanied by piano music. We recommend savouring a good flambé prepared at your table.
TripAdvisor has awarded the Restaurante Varanda de Lisboa the Certificate of Excellence 2014
October is the month of CATAPLANA at the Restaurante Varanda de Lisboa! During this month you may taste a variety of different ways to make dishes using the Cataplana.
What is Cataplana? A Cataplana is a unique Portuguese cooking utensil, used to prepare various Portuguese dishes. Traditionally it is made of copper and shaped like two clam shells hinged at one end and able to be sealed using a clamp. Little is known of the origines of this utensil however there is a direct Arabian influence from North Africa dating far back as 900 years.
