Hygiene and Safety Measures

We took the necessary measures, please comply with the standards


In view of the current situation following the pandemic COVID-19, PHC Hotels has been guiding its performance by an attitude of responsibility in relation to the measures defined by the Ministry of Health, National Health Authority and Portuguese Turism Board – Clean&Safe Certification, as well as complying with the requirements of World Travel & Tourism Council – Safe Travels, assuming the safety of its guests, partners and employees as a priority.

For the safety of all of us, PHC Hotels has adopted hygiene and safety measures that promote the common well-being and contribute to the control and mitigation of Covid 19. We are glad to share them with you and we appreciate your cooperation and the compliance with the defined guidelines.



We took the necessary measures that enable us to be together again in safety and we count on you to comply with the following standards.

Our baggage team disinfects your luggage


During you Stay Disinfect your hands several times a day using the various sanitation point available in the hotel and before entering bars and restaurants
Access more information and consult our menus through the TV directory, App or QRcode
Always keep the safety distance
Wait for the elevator to be empty before using it
Comply with the respiratory etiquette rules


Before Check Out We suggest that you pay for extras the day before your check out, preferably between 8pm and 11pm
We appreciate that you pay with contactless card or any other virtual payment method available.


In case of non-compliance with the rules, the situation will be forwarded to the General Manager which will follow up accordingly.





  • All our employes are using the recommended protective equipment (masks or visors) in order to guarantee the safety.


  • We advise our guests to comply with the respiratory etiquette rules – use masks and disinfect their hands several times a day using the various sanitation points available in the hotel




  • The safety distance between members of our team and between our team and the guest will be mantained in all the spaces of our hotel, including reception, bars and restaurants, whose capacity have been limited following the General Health Authority recommendations.


  • The contact with the guest should be made preferably by phone or message, avoiding physical contact.


  • So that our guests can enjoy the continental breakfast in the comfort of their room, orders can be placed until 12am the previous day without any additional cost.


  • We guarantee frequent desinfection of all touch surfaces, such as electronic equipment, elevator call buttons, door handles or handrails completed with Oxygiene electrostatic spray technology.


  • All our teams – housekeeping, restaurants and bars – have been divided into working groups so that we can control transfer of tasks, and thus, reducing the likehood of contagion by Covid19. We only use certified disinfectants.


  • The rooms are fully disinfected, and we’ve payed special attention to all direct contact materials using Oxygiene electrostatic spray technology. Our team will not accompany guest to their rooms.


  • Before and after each use, the meeting rooms are disinfected with Oxygiene electrostatic spray technology.


  • In addition to desinfection points, desinfection wipes are available in our restaurants and bars.




  • If necessary, we have rooms reserved for quarantine purposes.


  • Our team is specifically trained to comply with the Internal Protocol regarding COVID-19; to deal with the basic concerns of prevention and control of infection regarding the virus, including procedures of sanitization of hands, respiratory etiquette and social conduct; and to follow all the guidelines and recommendations of National Health Service (DGS), Portuguese Tourism Board and our sanitation partner ECOLAB, regarding cleaning and desinfection.
